Bakers Chocolate Affected: Cats, dogs, and other small animals. Symptoms: Within 1-4 hours after consumption: Vomiting, diarrhea, heart arrhythmia, rapid breathing, muscle tremors, seizures, hyperactivity, and with overdose: coma, death. An amount of chocolate weighing as little as 10%-30% of a cat's body weight can be lethal, more than 30% is lethal. A 20-40 lb dog could consume up to 16 onces before death, 3 ounces of baking chocolate (the most toxic chocolate) can kill a 15 lb or smaller dog. Castor Bean [Ricinus Communis; seeds / pulp] Contains "ricin", a poison fatal to animals and humans if not treated. Affected: Cats, dogs, other small animals, birds. Symptoms: Severe abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, excessive thirst, weakness, loss of appetite. In severe cases: dehydration, muscle twitching, tremors, seizures, coma, death. Chinese Lantern Affected: Cats, dogs, other small animals. Syptoms: Vomiting, abdominal pain, cramps, tremors, heart & respiratory anomalies, kidney damage. Toxic.

Chinese Sacred Bamboo / Heavenly Bamboo Affected: Cats, dogs, other small animals. Toxic.

Chocolate Affected: Cats, small dogs, and other small animals. Symptoms: Within 1-4 hours after consumption: Vomiting, diarrhea, heart arrhythmia, rapid breathing, muscle tremors, seizures, hyperactivity, and with overdose: coma, death. Large animals may be able to eat greater amounts of chocolate before experiencing symptoms. An amount of chocolate weighing as little as 10%-30% of a cat's body weight can be lethal, more than 30% is lethal. A 20-40 lb dog could consume up to 16 onces before overdose, 3 ounces of baking chocolate (the most toxic chocolate) may kill a 15 lb or smaller dog. Cocaine Affected: Cats, dogs, rabbits, gerbils, other small aninals, mammals, birds, reptiles. Symptoms: Possibly vomiting, diarrhea, oral and esophageal burns, corrosive injury to the gastrointestinal tract, gastrointestinal upset, disorientation, hyuperactivity, seizures, kidney failure. Organ failure. If the animal survives: Continual tremors and/or seizures, chronic kidney disease, and other chronic health problems.
